Why only these assets? These are reputable assets within the major classes and are well diversified (within their class) with minimal fees. We do not aim to beat the market via individual stocks or higher cost actively managed funds (which fails most of the time). The cryptocurrencies are exceptions (no reputable diversified fund exists), but we include only the two most reputable cryptocurrencies.
