SEC 30-day yield

SEC 30-day yield

The SEC 30-day yield measures the net yield of a bond fund, including dividends and interest, and subtracting all expenses. The calculation is standardized by the SEC to facilitate fair comparison of different bond funds’ yield.

This yield is a good estimate of how much you’ll earn in the coming 12 months from a bond fund. The yield is re-calculated on the last day of each month and accounts for all dividends, interest, and expenses relative to the maximum share price on that day.
